  I would suggest The Wedding Song by PP&M. I love Blackbird and I think it's a beautiful song but I'm not sure it's the best for a wedding. The song is uplifting but more in the way of you've had a really bad day or time in your life and you're "flying" on. Of course in the song there's even a since of uncertainty about that ("Blackbird, fly, into the line of a dark black night). On that basis I don't think it really fits in with the whole "happiest day of your life" kind-of thing. However if you decide that you really want it I would definitely suggest the instumental version.

  Hmm I interpret "Blackbird" differently. When they talk about taking broken wings and flying and "you were always waiting for this moment to arrive," etc, to me it sounds like someone growing up and going off on their own taking all the things and memories from their past. The beauty of music is being able to interpret it differently for each person
  
  FWIW, I have seen "Blackbird" used as the bride's processional before and also for the father/daughter dance at two different weddings. And if the lyrics DO bother you and you just like the melody, you can always just do instrumental.
