  I'm not sure there is one main resource for the area, but here are a few places I know of that you may want to check out in Elizabeth City:

  Also - Elizabeth City is only 1 hour from the Outer Banks. You can find lots of resources for Outer Banks Weddings. One of the prettiest weddings I have seen was at the NC Aquarium in RoanokeI Island:

  Edenton is a small town on a beautiful bay.  I looked there as a potential wedding site.
  
  For Edenton, try The Barker House - it is a beautiful old house that has a yard,one side is covered porch with a lovely staircase it is on the bay, you can have the street blocked off next to it, it has a kitchen, you have full run of the place for your ceremony, and it is only $600.00 for a wedding.  It would be lovely if you wanted a small outdoor or indoor wedding.  (I can fax you info if you PM me)

  I am from Edenton! Those are all good ideas! Also check into the Chowan County Country club in Edenton it is on the water and beautiful. They have there own chef as well!
