Soft touch, plumeria???

So I live in HI and I'm getting married in MN. I'm kind of theming my wedding hawaiian theme. I'd really like to have plumerias. I found a place on Molokai that will ship loose plumerias to MN. I've heard they arrive in good condition, but I'm worried about handling them, and getting yellow. I saw this DIY  idea
I'm thinking something like that for the tables. I then searched for plumeria bouquets and came across some that are beautiful...then I realized they are "Soft Touch" ...Fake. They looked real to me. Does anyone know anything about the quality? Will my fresh curl up and die before my reception. Help!

    I would be a bit worried about the plumeria too.   But it is such a great flower and scent... what about maybe mixing them with dendrobium orchids just for a little insurance .. Dendrobiums are really pretty and do stand up beautifully, and the price is fine too.  they come in white,pinks and purple. 

    I love the candles and the centerpiece look ... 

    Not a fan of fake flowers so no comment on that idea...

    I've thought about using the orchids also. I like them a lot. Maybe getting them in white is an idea. I'm worried about the purple kind of clashing with the rest of the room. I also HATE fake flowers, but since I'm planning this from hawaii, it seems like it might be so easy...If they looked totally real and no one could tell... I think I'd still not like them. I'm not sure though. I've ordered a sample flower. If it's really good I might go that route. If not then I'll stick to real.

    just a word of advice about Plumeria, it has the shelf life of about a day so you have the right to worry about it lasting until your wedding day. As beautiful as it is I would choose another flower since you aren't getting married in HI where as you know its native to.
