So...no one on this board really knows me and I have been a lurker for the past year of wedding planning, and i only recently started to post/comment. We have a wedding planner in NC, and we live in England - yeah its been insane. But this board has helped me feel SO connected to the states, other brides, and a part of this whole planning process. And...it JUST hit me that I cannot wait to get married in two weeks. All the stress and worry is finally manageable and its time to have fun and get married already!
There were so many times when I was stressed about making sure I was doing every thing the right way, not offending others, but also remaining true to myself and what we wanted for the day. The regs on this board were a HUGE help with this, so yeah thanks for that, from the lurker
We are headed to NC from London on next Saturday and the only things we really have left to do are pick out are must play songs (MJ tribute is a given) and wrap our wedding party gifts. I am sure I will have other questions before the big day, but before things get hectic - I just wanted to say how helpful you ladies have been on this E board!
You are honest - and that's something that not a lot of friends/family will be when it comes to planning your wedding. You don't tell people what they want to hear, but you do suggest what they SHOULD do. I think more people should be like that and I l think more people should appreciate and listen to that advice.
OK thats it. I am going to start thinking about what to wear in Turks and Caicos, because that will make this COLD and WINDY night in England seem a little nicer!
