Chicken

Last night I ate 2 chicken thighs. Omg luckly I keep a food journal online and it was like 300 calories a piece. Bad me Bad me.

  • There are FAR worse things you could have eaten 600 calories of.  Like cookies.  Or chips.  As long as you didn't go way over your calories for the day, I'd consider it a win.

  • There's nothing wrong with eating chicken.  Any part of the chicken.  Food is not the enemy.  Don't beat yourself up over it.  It's not like you ate a whole cake or something.

    Yeah - see.. Chicken is good.  It's full of protein that your body needs. 

    I sometimes feel like everyone thinks their food is healthy if and only if it contains no calories. 

    Keep journaling and making progress!  You're doing it the healthy way.  But, really - chicken isn't the enemy.

    EDIT: And happy first birthday to your little boy!

  • Was the chicken skinned or not? Boneless skinless thighs are 140 calories for 4 ounces. If you want less fat/calories try getting skinned chicken (although I agree with pp, 600 calories of chicken is not going to make you fat).
  • Yes the skin was on it and it was super tasty. Thanks my son did enjoy his first birthday.
