How much food?

We have a very small budget ($5000 TOTAL for wedding!!) so we are thinking of having a buffet dinner. I was thinking of ordering from olive garden. My problem is that i cant figure out how much food to order for 100 people. There will be several items (lasagne, spaghetti, chicken...) how do i know how much to get? If i order each item for 100 pl then i will have alot of left overs i think. Please help!

I would think Olive Garden could help you out in this situation. I would think they would calculate it by each person having a portion of each dish. Each person obviously won't get getting what would considered an entire plate at the restaurant.

Have you talked to the restaurant yet?  Usually, if you tell them how many people you're expecting and what entrees you want, they'll give you a quote.  More than likely, they'll charge per person.

We looked at Olive Garden and if you get a to go menu & does say how many portions are in each order. It said for their lasagna like 8-10 servings. Just ask to see that and it should help.
