I bought an invite kit at Joann's, but they are just black pocket folds w/ white paper invites... trying to think of ways to incorporate my wedding color-- hot pink-- into them.
Just started making them last night! I'm in LOVE! They are Tempting Turqouise (if you know Stampin Up!'s colors) and Elegant Egglplant then a Shimmery White with the text. When I have a complete one, I'll have to post it!

Just ordered mine last week and received notification on Thursday might that they were on the way. I can't upload pictures when I'm on my tablet so I can't put any pictures on right now.
218 Invited 130 Are ready to party!! 79 Are missing out. 10 Are making me wait.
Really? I was thinking most ppl fail to send back response cards on time and then FMIL said her cousins sent out invites to their June wedding already. I'm so confused I hear 6-4 months in advance, when is everyone sending out theirs? Ours are cream and have a purlpe damask and flower print clear overlay that covers the invite then has a cream ribbon that ties veritcle onto the invite.
Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.

Our weddings is on the 28th and we're sending them out on June 1st or around that time (lots of OOT guests) and RSVP is due on July 1st.
Our wedding is July 7th and I'm planning on sending out our invites in April and have an RSVP date of June 8th to give plenty of time for the straggler responses before I need the final count 2 weeks before the wedding.

i have always heard that you should mail the invites approx. two months before the wedding date...i guess it depends on where you are and what the custom is but we are planning to mail ours out around the end of may for our july 28 wedding.
We are mailing ours around mid-May, with a response date of June 15th for a July 14th wedding. We waned the response date a bit closer to the end of June but we have 4th of July that will probably not help us get stragglers.
We've asked a friend to design them. We've sat down to discuss styles and she should be working on it now. She's supposed to make three different sketches, we can pick one idea that she'll use for the invitation. I can't wait to see those!
We want to get them printed in March and send them out in April. That may sound early, but we didn't do STD's.
