Has anyone bought rose petals in bulk? any suggestions? war stories?  I just got my estimate from my florist and need to make the number go down..

    My bouquets were 90% roses so my florist used the outside petals that they peel off on my table and for my FG basket. Not sure if that was an option for you (and it shouldnt cost extra b/c a good florist always peels a few layers off)

    My other thought, have you checked with Wegmans, Price Chopper, etc? Maybe their floral shop has bagged petals. Or maybe you can steal their peeled petals from the day before? Just a thought.
