First look questions

FI are thinking about doing first look photos before the ceremony because:

1. We want to go straight from the ceremony to the reception
2. We're getting married in a church, but we want outdoor pictures somewhere else with pretty scenery instead of just taking pictures on the church's lawn
3. It sounds like a neat experience

For those of you who did this, is this when you did family pictures as well?  Are photographers usually willing to leave and then come back?  (Pictures aren't allowed to be taken during the ceremony...so he/she'd have to leave and then come back for the reception.)

I know photographers are different, but I was just wondering how your experience went.  Thanks!

Yes, after our first look, we went straight into family pictures.  The only pictures we took after the ceremony were some of us by ourselves (we were running late and off schedule at the first look or we would have done them then).

I do not believe your photrographer will leave and come back but this is something only they can answer.  I've never heard of that.

I loved doing the first look.  You can look at my pics in my married bio under Reveal.

I love your first look photos!  I definitely want some...plus since the ceremony doesn't allow pictures, we wouldn't be able to capture our expressions when we first see each other if we don't do first look.
