NEW-Winter Wedding in Vermont

Hello all,

I am new here and I not from Vermont, but looking to have a Winter Wedding there. Have any of you ALSO had a Winter Wedding in Vermont? Can you recommend your venue? We envision having the ceremony by a fire and a small reception in a space that reflects the mountains, and skiing.  Thank you for suggestions!

We are really interested in these places currently:

Stowehof Inn, Topnotch, Sugarbush, The Moutaintop Inn, and both Stowe & Killington Ski Resorts. Does anybody have any advice, comments or recommendations about these venues? TIA!

When I was looking at venues I contacted the Mountaintop Inn. They were very friendly. The pictures on the website were beautiful. I bet it would be a gorgeous location for pictures. Sorry I don't have any advice on these places. We are getting married next month at Stratton Mountain.

Oh, Stratton is on the list too, let me know how things have been and ultimately go with them. Thanks.

Honestly, it has been difficult with Stratton. Thankfully we are 25 days away! I would look at different venues. Good luck, it will be be beautiful in the winter here where ever you choose.

<div>We're getting married at Mount Snow... Same area! I was just surprised because I never hear about anyone getting married in that area... Whenever I tell people where our wedding is (we're from the Burlington area) they look at us funny. Haha. Good luck!</div>

Hi! I got married in Quechee,VT in February...we were married at the Quechee Club, and we were able to take pictures on the chairlift across the street...it was perfect, the club does an amazing job! I was married at Stratton in the fall but their club sounds like something you are looking for. It has a lodgy-mountain feel and big fire places. I can send you pictures if you'd like. I didn't have any problems planning my ceremony or reception there and we loved everything. Good luck!

I had my wedding at Stowe Mountain Resort last summer and they were great to deal with.  The wedding coordinator was amazing and everything about the venue was super nice (food, staff, lodging).  Good luck!

What about The Woodstock Inn? They own Suicide Six Ski Area nearby and the covered bridges in winter are amazing for photos!  I believe that they have a deal where families ski free midweek-could be really fun for your guests!

Hi there!  We chose the Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, since my uncle had his wedding there over Christmas of 2008.  It was the best wedding I've ever attended.  Couldn't ask for better food, service, location... it was truly a winter wonderland wedding.

I've worked with Kate Geoghegan from the Inn to set up our Country Inn Ceremony (we're eloping) and she has been amazing and totally accomodating.  She recommended the florist and salon, who have also been great so far.  Our date is December 10th and we're thrilled.  Highly recommend the Green Mountain Inn!

    Hello,
I actually used to be the wedding coordinator at the Stowehof Inn and Resort and I think its one of the best locations to have a winter wedding.   Have you looked at The Round Barn in Waitsfield very close to Sugarbush AMAZING!  Good Luck and have fun.

Hi!  The Stowehof Inn in Stowe Vermont has spectacular mountain views, four fireplaces, delicious food, lots of character and the staff will make sure your day is very special.  I can't think of a more romantic location for a winter wedding!  There are also horsedrawn sleigh rides for added fun!
