Prestige Lines & Events Services / *drdifabio*

Anyone use them? If so, how was your experience? I've heard some negative things about them but I hear they have good prices. Granted what I was told was from another vendor but she seemed really nice and new what she was talking about. One of the things she said she was at a wedding at the Carlson Towers the ceiling draping fell on the guests.  Things do happen, but that so would not be good. She also said there was a post on here about 4 months ago asking if they were still in business b/c a bride couldn't reach them. Said the website is gone, their emails didn't work etc. Anyone remember seeing that? She also said she waived another brides money she put down to Prestige, cause she felt bad for the bride.

drdifabio - I see you are using them for your table linens, how has your experience been so far? Have you been able to get ahold of them?

We will be needing ceiling draping, table lines, chair covers and maybe some uplighting so this is def. something I need to make sure is a good vendor for. I would like to just get everything from one place, but if it's cheaper to get one thing from one vendor and one from the other we'll go that route.

Anyone even have a website for Prestige? I've tried to Google it and nothing comes up as their actual website.  TIA!

I was the one who could not get a hold of them. Uhg - it makes me really nervous but after trying 3 different emails I finally got a hold of Choua. Here is the email she sent me in the middle of Jan:

Sorry about the emails.  I am changing my website host and had to currently shut everything down until it is running with the new provider which is taking a lot longer then it was suppose to.  I am hoping that will be by the end of this month.  But you can always call me as well, other then that nothing has changed with the business.  Let me know if anything has changed and how you are doing with planning and decorations.

So we are sticking with them. It makes me a bit nervous but I just cant beat their price. I am getting eggplant satin overlays (85x85) for $9 each - the really are beautiful. I guess maybe I would just recommend calling if you need to get a hold of her??? Uhg she is really nice I am just worried about reliability. When it comes down to it colored linen is a luxury for us - I really want it but dont need it - so I decided that if it comes through awesome if not fine but I dont want to pay any more than what she is giving me.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I would love to try to help.

Thanks for the info - Yeah man that still worries me some. I totally agree with you about the table linens and think the different colored/fabric ones can make such a big difference decor wise, so if all the sudden the day of I wouldn't get them, I'd be extremely disappointed, and would probably try to find a way to get them elsewhere the day of. That's the hard part, their prices being the cheapest. That stuff can def. add up. And for me and our venue, the ceiling draping will really help make our area more closed in as the ceilings are so high, and I think draping and what not can really make a venue look great in general.

Grr, idk, makes me worried. I just hope it works out for you now since you already booked, fingers crossed!!!

I was just on my local board and one girl bought table overlays from here http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/85sataoveg.html

From the sounds of it they are pretty thin but feel really soft and are otherwise great. I am almost considering doing this although I am not sure I could get my deposit back so I figured I would at least pass it along to you since you are still up in the air.

Thanks for the tip, great website and may even be cheaper than renting.  However, they don't really have the color I would want.  The have silver, but I'm lookin for more of a pewter/more grayish I'd say.

Did you sign a contract where it saying something about the deposit?  You really could be totally fine with her too, and at least you are just getting your linens there IF something bad were to happen which it probably won't:)
