I am really considering having a photo booth at my wedding. For me i think it is worth the cost before is will be both the guest book and the favor. I am having a rather large wedding(close to 300 guest) so the money seemed to equal out. Plus I LOVE pictures so it fits in great for me:)

I'm also planning on using a photobooth and like Beckster, I'm planning on using it as the guest book and the guest favors. I like the fact that I have not been to a wedding with one and from talking with my guests neither have they. I think it will be a fun addition! I'm curious to hear reviews from people though--there seem to be quite a few places in the area that offer the photobooth.

    Hi,
We had a photo booth at our wedding. It was a total hit with our guest and people are still talking about how much fun it was.! We used Beyond the Booth. http://www.beyondbooth.com Our guest book is a true keepsake and having a photo booth is totally worth every penny. Hope this helps!

Photo booths are a waste of money. Most reputable photographers offer that or a backdrop to take pics at the reception anyway. Why pay $700+ for something that most photographers include at little or no extra cost.

Our photographer is setting up a mobile backdrop to take pics of us with fam/friends, etc. I'm planning on going through the proofs and sending back pics of those attending in thank you cards. I really wanted the mobile photobooth, but it makes no sense  to have both a booth and the photog there at the same time...and if its going to help save money... I am all for it !! I sent quotes to all of the vendors that would come to MKE or are located in/around and the cheapest one I found was for $600-700 for 4 hrs... that did not include extra add ons.

I thought that the photographer and the photo booth might be over kill but I have read other reviews that said the photo booth is more for the guests of the wedding and the photographer will capture the moments between the bride and groom/wedding party. Plus I really don't want the guest to have to buy the photos if we were just to set up a back drop and I REALLY like the idea of the guest book!

I'm thinking of doing a photo booth. I'm still weighing the pros and cons. Like PP, I've also heard that the photo booth is more for the guests at the wedding than anything else. It's fun and serves as a great favor and you get a guest book out of it. Overall, I think it's a really fun idea.

Photobooths seem so fun!  I really want to have one for our wedding.  We are hoping to go through miphotobooth.com.  Question...if you are having a photobooth are you also having favors or are you using the photos as favors?  Just curious, can't decide what to do...

We're doing a photobooth and using them as favors. We'll have a little "please enjoy the photobooth as much as possible...available until TIME..." sign up so people know it's for them to use as much as possible.
