Places in Australia?

We were thinking about australia for our honeymoon but its suuuch a big country its hard to figure out where to start. Has anyone ever had a vaca there before that they loved? Any specific areas that we should look into? I'm just looking for a starting point. :P

    I went once when I was 12 with my parents.  We went to Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns.  Every place was great honestly.  When we were in Cairns we swam in the Great Barrier Reef which was pretty cool.  If I ever went again I'd probably stay somewhere relatively south and then go to New Zealand as well.  Might as well do both countries when making such a long flight.

    Depends on what type of trip you are looking for! Australia is as large and diverse as the US! We're getting married/HMing along th Reef and staying on Heron Island, Wilson Island, and Lizard Island with brief stays in Brisbane and Cairns!

    Not all of us pronounce Cairns as "Cans"!  :)

    It really depends on what you are interested in and how much time and money you have to spend.  I grew up in Sydney - if you have any specific questions let me know.
