Small Beach Wedding in Atlantic Beach

I am planning a small beach wedding for just family and few friends in Oct 2012. I need some advice i am hoping not to put alot of money in the wedding itself but the reception the following week in our hometown. I am going for simple elegance. I need to know if renting a house or hotel will be more efficient.

I just need some help from brides currently planning a beach wedding or have had one recently...

    I am a little over a month away from my Emerald Isle wedding (15 mins from Atlantic beach), please let me know if I can be of any help.

    I am planning a 9-15-12 wedding on Topsail Island, I am going to visit the venue and with my photographer in 2 weeks- SO excited :)

    My ceremony will be on the beach and my reception will be at an event home.  Emerald isle has zero vendors, so most of my vendors are closer to Atlantic Beach. 

    I am using Cakes by Chris for my wedding cake.  Portraits by Angelo for by photography and I have not settled on a catererer.  If you need any recommendations, or want to bounce vendor ideas, etc off of me, please feel free.
