Help with wedding jingle bells wording

I want to leave a jingle bell tied to a ribbon on each chair before the ceremony. When we exit after we're pronounced husband and wife, we would like our guests to ring the bells. This will tie in well to our RSVP card, which had to option, "will be there with bells on," which surprisingly is the option all of our guests selected.

I want to include a little card that indicates what the bells are for. I have Googled and looked for cute rhyme-y wording but no dice - can you ladies help?

TIA!

  • I have no idea about the wording, I just wanted to point out that your guests may take these to the reception and then ring them when they want you to kiss. I don't know about you, but that would drive me absolutely insane.

Could you just have the officiant ask everyone to ring the bells on your way out?

They could...it's only 17 people, so it won't be too big a deal. Plus I don't think our immediate families would be too into making us kiss every two seconds during the 2 hour reception, but I can see what you're getting at!

I just googled and found a few... maybe these will help.

No rice or seeds to toss up high
when the bride and groom are passing by,
But wedding bells rung strong and clear
resound good luck to all who hear!
So when the bride and groom depart
to wish them joy as life they start,

Ring this bell with all your might,
til the happy couple pass out of sight!

Ring this bell with all your might
when the bride and groom take flight!
Ring hard, ring fast, ring true and clear,
wish them well for all to hear!

We are so glad you're here today,
To share our love in a special way.
The bell on the table is just for you,
To ring and announce our love anew.
