I can suggest something that you NOT use...rock candy in a jar. I went to a wedding where that was the favor and everyone thought it was bath salt.

We're making our own and I think it's pretty unique. I've definitely never seen it before! FI created 3 different spice rubs that we're putting in vials and wrapping them together with ribbons. More explanation and some pics in bio under DIY. So it's a long term edible, not for consumtion the night of the wedding :)

I'd stay away from Jordan almonds (snoooooooooze) and I've seen so many candy bars lately that I don't really think it's unique anymore. I've been to a couple of weddings where the favor was sugar cookies and it was always a big hit. One wedding had wedding cake shapped cookies. Another was baseballs (the couple met at a Twins game).

I think the milk and cookies or milk and brownies idea is always cute. The DIY Bride books have some cute ideas for that (ie wrapping the milk carton in patterned paper that matches your colors/invites/etc) .

Instead of favors we are doing late night snacks, they will have mini grilled cheeses and mini pizzas. I liked the idea of doing something different that people will remember/use so I liked this idea.

mycookielady.com...an employee recommended this small business.  It is his mom's business, but she and her business partners will do in house demos, etc.  The prices are reasonable and they can customize anything.  I think we are gettign chocolate covered pretzel sticks decorated like baseballs.

We're not really doing "favors" - we have a late night snack. We're also using Fannie May Mint Meltaways for our escort cards. We'll have a toothpick stuck in a Mint Meltaway with a small square piece of paper with their names and table numbers on it. That way each of our guests have a quick little treat (that also KIND OF freshens their breath) as they leave cocktail hour and start the reception.

We are doing a small box of French macaroons (in our wedding colors) from Vanille Patisserie.  We are getting our cake from there as well.

I just ordered a bunch of "try me" sized dip mixes from Devilishly Delicious Dips - they were SOOOOO good and the size would be perfect for a favor!  You get the seasonings and instructions to mix them with sour cream (for the savory flavors) or cool whip (for the sweet flavors.)  I HIGHLY recommend the butterscotch sprinkle and the loaded baked tater!  If you do a bulk order, she may give you a discount - seems like she's a small-time type of business.  www.devildips.com
