I need help! Can I write " sacrament of holy matramony" if I am not baptized Catholic? from everyone I've talked to including Catholics, they said we could inclide that even if we were not taking communion. Is that acurate?

A sacrament happens when 2 baptized people marry. Even 2 baptized protestants have a sacrament of marriage. If either person is not baptized at all, it is not a sacrament.

The Eucharist is its own sacrament.

If you do write it, be sure to write, "Sacrament of Holy Matrimony."

I had never heard that, our priest had said its still a Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, and he knows I'm not baptized.

kayla, are you baptized anything?  as long as you are baptized, the denomination does not matter.
  • yes...if one or both of a couple are not baptized at all, it is not a sacrament. Both have to be baptized (any denomination) for it to be a sacrament.

Is it not a sacrament for the baptized party if the other is unbaptized?

Both people have to be baptized for it to be a sacrament. Baptism opens the door for the sacrament. One cannot receive the graces from the sacrament if the other can't.
