Oh come on. How much more AW can you get?

H started watching some show about a cruise ship that goes around Europe and this couple is honeymooning, so they decided to "recreate" their reception by her wearing her weddin dress and he, his tux.  They made all the patrons clap for them on their entrance, gave them a cake, and cleared the dance floor for a dance.

Gah.ross.

  • So are you saying I shouldn't bring my wedding dress to Maui and wear it every day?

Nah, Jal, I think that's a great idea.

    You and 30 other honeymooners.
  • I'm wearing my wedding dress tomorrow. I'm going to make everyone on the beach clap for me as I intrude on their family time.
  • Tacktastic!

I should do that in January when H and I go to Mexico.

  • Nothing says beach vacation like a wedding dress.

  • Damn, I guess I shouldn't have cut my dress up.  Might have been able to get another wearing when we go on vacation!
  • I'm wearing mine on formal night on the cruise.  I figure it's one more chance to get pictures and get more wear out of the dress since it's the most expensive piece of clothing I've ever bought.

<div>Have you ever been to a formal night on a cruise?  Because they aren't evening gown formal.  Most people just wear a fancier short dress.  Unless you have a very simple gown, you're basically going to look ridiculous, sorry. </div><div>
</div><div>I really don't understand the logic of "getting another use out of the dress."  You buy the wedding gown for the wedding, knowing full well that it's for a one-time use only thing.  If you aren't comfortable spending that much on a piece of clothing for one day, buy a cheaper dress.  </div>

  • I told H I wanted to sell my dress. He's totally against it and thinks when we go to Vegas in five years for a fun Elvis-themed renewal, I can wear it again. Um no. I'm not ever wearing that thing again.

Those people in the show are nuts.

  • I teach high school and every year there is a spirit week where one of the days is dress up in your finest clothes.  My students know I'm engaged and have told me to wear my wedding dress next year.  They think it would be cool.  I'm like......ummmm no.
  • We are going to NY for our honeymoon.,,.think I can get away with wearing it in Times Square?!

  • renjon, totally.  Maybe you could clear it out like they did for Vanilla Sky and do a trash the dress shoot.

No one would give you a second glance.  New Yorkers have seen it all.
