Hi everyone!
I joined this site awhile ago and have finally decided to formally introduce myself. My name is Lena, I got engaged November 6, 2011. I've been dating my fiance for almost 4 years now. We actually met in a really crazy way (over the phone). My fiance is an admissions representative for an online college and I guess I was looking at taking an extra class or two because my local school at that time didn't offer online classes. Long story short we ended up clicking and after dating long distance for less than a year we flipped a coin and I ended up moving to Pittsburgh from Portland, OR. So, needless to say I was very excited about my proposal and stoked that he was thoughtful enough to propose to me at pit airport when I was coming home from a flight to Boston (the airport was the first place we ever saw/met each other in person).
Our wedding date is September 15, 2013 at Succop Conservancy. It was actually the first venue we looked at and I couldn't be more thrilled to be having it there. I feel like we have a lot of the major things already picked out and set... I actually purchased a vintage lace wedding dress from Etsy. We are almost 99% sure of a photographer... he is located in Oregon and we are thinking about flying him out to do the wedding. The bridal party is also picked out and as of right now there isn't any drama going on with any of them. Haha! The colors I think are my trickiest issue. I keep saying that i don't want a lot of color since the venue is just so naturally beautiful. The bridesmaids are wearing white dresses of their choice so I think I'm going to try to incorporate different textures (lace, burlap, twine, eyelet, etc.). I suppose if I'm adding color I'll more than likely choose a buttery yellow and a lighter color of green and blue.
Well, that's me and my wedding in a nutshell! I hope to be able to give some advice to all of you other ladies as well as receiving some as well!
