Help me pick the groom's cake flavor!

I'm surprising FI with a groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner.  I wanted to do chocolate cake (as our wedding cake is cinnamon-vanilla) so it's kinda opposite of the wedding cake.  I want it to be a surprise for everyone (groom's cakes aren't common in either families), so I'm asking you wonderful ladies!  I hate chocolate cake, so I'm a bit out of my element.

    You are doing something similar to what I'm doing for FI. It will be a total surprise. I chose to do marble cake because that is one of his favorites and his mom who is no longer with us would make him marble cake for his birthday.

    I chose Cappuccino mousse but I'm a coffee fan. That would be a rather rich cake.

    are any of the choices flavors you would eat? I would hate you to pick a cake and not get to enjoy it since you hate chocolate cakes.

    I voted raspberry-I'm not a big chocolate-chocolate. And I hate coffee/coffee flavor, so I would make sure the majority of guests liked coffee before picking cappuchino.

    We had butter pecan at my birthday, and carrot at Easter.  FI's not too fond of lemon and I don't know anyone in my circle that likes Red velvet. So it came down to chocolate since we're having vanilla at the wedding.

    One day of not having cake isn't going to kill me :)  I get to eat wedding cake the next day! lol

    I said Raspberry. Find out if you can do it in a mousse and a fruit gel then decide which would be better.

    I picked chocolate but I'm also a chocoholic :) I hate the taste/smell of coffee. I would like the raspberry if it was fruit filling and not mousse

    Great idea!  My FI loves cheesecake so I will definitely do that for the rehearsal dinner since I said a cheesecake would be hard to pull off for the actual wedding.  :)

    I find choc/choc to be too rich. I voted raspberry, but that is one of our flavor combos for the cake so I might be biased

    If his favorite flavor is chocolate I'd do chocolate.  Yes some people do not like chocolate cake but I think more would not like your other options.
