Somedays I feel like the bride community on here is EXTREMELY nice and helpful in guiding overwhelmed newbs and offering opinions.

...And then there's days like today when I feel like some on the boards are just looking to start an argument and put down others.

Anyone else or am I overly sensitive? I know it's hard to tell someone's tone by a written comment, but DAMN!

A lot of people here will just be brutally honest about how they feel. I can't speak for everyone, but most people are just telling it like they see it. Try not to let it get to you.

Um yeah, you lost it in that.

I've only seen someone be intentionally mean once or twice on these boards. A lot don't bother sugar-coating their replies but that doesn't make them mean.

The only thing im getting from that thread is OMFG I hate party lines. People need to simmer the fhuck down sometimes with the jumping to conclusions about why people are having issues.

i have never waited 3 months to order a BM dress, I don't get why everybody says to wait that long. A year is early, but I feel like asking your bridesmaids to order a dress prior to 3 months before is not at all crazy.

Jinx - I don't think Aerin was being insensitive. She was just pointing out that sides don't have to be even, which is a common misconception and gets discussed on the boards all the time. I didn't think she was being mean at all. You overreacted, which prompted a couple people to say, "Hey, whoa girl. Chill. Don't be so sensitive."

Yeah, the posts aren't necessarily that long, and I'm sure part of my feeling has to do with it being a party line that I don't particularly care about. So I skimmed a whole lot.

Malphabet was on my local and got married at the same venue I did. If you asked a question, she'd give you a dissertation. Granted, she means well and she tries to be helpful, but yeah, I would die somewhere in that wall o text.
