Cake cost...bar cost? Maui

Good morning!!! Just curious what you all paid or plan to pay for your cake? The lowest quote was $6.50 per piece and the highest was $14.00. The rates did not include delivery to Olowalu.

My other question was did you have an open bar and buy your own alcohol? If so, what did you pay for the bartender/set-up and supplies? Thanks ladies!!

For our cake, it's $10 per person. We are doing an open bar and they provide everything. We pay per drink. Just like at a regular bar. Our only extra cost is we have to give an 18% tip. Which we would have done anyway.

Our cake is approx $8/slice and it is $50 to deliver to Olowalu. It is $250 for the bartender and $300 for bar setup. We will probably end up tipping the bartender at the end also. We are planning to buy all of our alcohol at costco or I know my WC said there is also a Liquor store that will deliver to Olowalu if you have over $300 tab i think.

Thanks Kimmy and Jess. Jess: does your bartender include ice in that amount?

Our bartender includes garnish, ice, etc. We are actually booking bartending directly through our caterer since they provide it as an optional thing and quote they gave us was better than bars-r-us or garnish events.

We also went through our caterers just cause we didn't want to have to worry about it.  My cousin got married on Friday in Maui and they bought theirs from Costco and it was a big pain for my aunt & uncle to have to run around and get the alcohol, get it to the venue, and then have to worry about it after the wedding.  We wanted everything to be easy and honestly the cost was right about the same and renting a bartender and buying it ourselves.

Our cake was $6.5/slice.  Cakes by JoAnn.  I'm so excited to be getting an anniversary cake from her in just a month :)

We did the bartending through our caterer, Aloha Events; $10/person for all the garnishes, mixers, water bottles and non-alcoholic drinks for the 6.5 hour event.  This included the strawberry puree for the lava flows, etc.  We had liquor delivered by Hawaii Liquor Superstore.  Some things were found cheaper at Long's liquor, and we just had them with the bridal prep stuff that we took the morning of.  We did have 2 weeks on island to hunt and compare prices, though.

I believe our cake is $5/person but we are saving on cost by having a dessert bar, which costs $4/person. I booked Heidi at Cake Bakery. As for bartending, I booked Bars R Us, but Jess's quote for a bar sounds AWESOME! lol. I was quoted $1800 w/o alcohol to service ~100 people. Now that I think about that it sounds expensive! But it includes: delivery, iced tea, water, set-up, service from before our ceremony starts to breakdown, 3 cocktailers, glassware, bar decor, mixers, juice, garnish...pretty much everything. We plan on purchasing alcohol at Costco since you can return pretty much anything. So we'll return what we don't use...
