Surprise Shower

OK so my shower is a surprise and I REALLY thought it was going to be this saturday.. My sister and friends just kept saying things that really led me to believe that it was.

But now I am rethinking that!  My mom told me last night she is going to visit her friend in Maryland this weekend and I my FSIL asked me to run a 10k with her on saturday.

I am excited and grateful no matter when my shower is but I am just starting to get SOOO anxious!!

    I had a surprise shower as well.  I had a gut feeling on the weekend as well, then everyone started lying to me about other plans when I asked to get together last weekend.  I was totally in surprise that I wasn't going to an anniversary dinner when I saw my friends car in the parking lot.

    Maybe they are lying! I kind of like surprises, but I'm sure you'd at least like to know a few details. My BMs kept everything about my shower (location, theme, etc.) a secret but they at least told me when it would be.

    Whenever it is just enjoy it!

    ETA: Oh, have you been registry stalking lately? That could be a clue to the date, too... sorry I'm a terrible influence here lol.

    I wish I had surprise showers!!! I don't think it'll be possible to have another shower. Already have 5 that I know of (1 down, 4 to go).

    Lol great idea!!

    It sounds like they can totally be doing this stuff to throw you off.  Whatever you do just make sure you have your dress and shoes in the trunk of your car so you can change if you need too :)

    I told my mom last night I am getting dressed up every saturday and sunday from now until whenever my shower is just in case hahahah

    And BMore- I actually have been VERY good I have not looked at my registry since last month when I knew my invitations went out :)  Very proud of myself.

    Like I said I am happy it's a surprise- it is fun to try and guess :) But either way I am still just anxious for it to be here!!

    I bet your shower is Saturday! Your FSIL will take you out to run while your mom is actually getting everything ready for your shower?? I bet she said she was traveling just to throw you off.

    Colleen - I would be so uneasy! A friend of mine had a surprise one and she was REALLY surprised (so much so that she was wearing gym shorts and wasn't showered when she arrived at her mom's house and she was PISSED at her mom for not giving her a head's up to shower beforehand). She would barely allow pictures (she's also kind of a brat). :)

    Just bring your clothing with you EVERYWHERE and never leave the house unshowered :) hahahaha

    I like surprises, but I would at least like to know the date! I agree on making sure you have your clothes and shoes with you at all times. I don't blame you for being anxious!

    I'd be so impressed if your family can pull of the surprise!  My mom was so intent on making mine a surprise but I knew it would never happen... she spilled the beans WEEKS ago haha.
