I found a lovely venue to have my ceremony and reception at in Charlotte for a grand total of $784.00 ($480 is for the base price of 5 hours, each additional hour is $76.00 & I've added 4 more hours ). Another bonus is that they only book one event per day so if you want to get your date you only need to pay the $480.00 up front, you can add additional hours whenever. Other than that you only need to apply for an alcohol permit the week before your event and that's only $50.00. It's at Colonel Francis Beatty Park - Lake Pointe Hall. The covered arbor overlooking the lake is included in the rental along with tables and chairs that they will set up for you however you want!
It's more for smaller weddings (100 or less), any more than that it would be too crowded. I stopped by today to get some pictures, I couldn't get any of the inside, but it's pretty much all windows with a beautiful wood ceiling.
