Favorite thing

Hey Ladies,

I think there are quite a few Married Ladies on this site, but I had a question for all. Married ladies: What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Engaged Ladies: What's the one thing you are look most forward to?

After convincing my FI to come back to the faith, and deciding to have a full wedding Mass, I am most looking forward to getting to receive the Eucharist together so soon after saying our vows!  Just thinking about it makes me tear up!

Ok, and the close second is being DONE wedding planning!  :)

my favorite thing was walking down the aisle together... i had been very anxious that morning, but all nervousness went away once  H and i started our walk together.   we smiled and said hi to everyone as we walked.

I'm looking forward to my soon-to-be uncle leading us through the same vows that have been used by all of my FI's brothers and cousins.

But being done with wedding planning sounds pretty nice too.

Walking out of the church with my new husband.  I'm sure I won't be able to stop smiling.

    And cake. :)

It's hard to pick just one thing. I can't wait to walk down the aisle with my dad and see my FI at the end. And I can't wait to exchange vows. We practiced it once already and it got me so choked up. And of course walking out of the church and husband and wife!

The music at the mass (especially our dear friend singing the psalm, and the men's choir - all DH's friends - singing Biebl's Ave Maria.

    The deacon's homily.

    Saying our vows, of course.

Seeing everyone enjoy themselves, particularly the food and the dancing.

My favorite thing was how filled with joy we both felt the entire day.  It was wonderful.

If you mean something tangible, there are many favorite things.  Our choir at the mass, the food at the reception, the reception location and how much fun we had dancing all made it wonderful.

I would have to say my favorite things were seeing the look on my husband's face as my Dad walked me down the aisle. And then what he whispered in my ear after we took our seats.

I also loved being able to receive the Eucharist together it was truly wonderful to be able to receive 2 sacraments in one day.

Getting to our wedding night.  Oh, the perks of being married!  ;-D

Prior to that . . . there were so many special moments that day!  Walking down the aisle with my Dad, H and I wearing our crowns and circling the altar (Melkite rite), and entering our reception to 365 applauding and cheering friends/family were all truly "once in a lifetime" events.

And as PPs mentioned, receiving the Eucharist for the first time as husband and wife is AMAZING.  God is good.  :-D

I'm looking forward to walking down the aisle with my Father.  He's battling cancer, very well I might add, but it's a battle I pray he will win.  That's what I'm looking forward to the most.

Second, exchanging vows with my honey, and sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with him. He told me last week he wants to become Catholic, converting from Greek Orthodox.  That will be nice.

Third, my niece and nephew (who wanted to be the altar boy more than the ring bearer) saying the Prayers of the Faithful.  That will be a good moment.

    That's my Top 3. :)

The mass. I'm still too far out to focus on any one thing as most exciting (except maybe being done and actually being husband and wife). Our priest-friend who is celebrating for us has already told me to relax and breathe and take it all in, because you only get to do it once. I'm excited to look back and see what stood out.  Normally, I'm a cryer, but I fully expect that I will be unable to stop smiling the whole ceremony.
