We haven't really done this in a while, and there are a lot of newer ladies on the board, so why don't we get to know each other?

    Wedding/Anniversary Date: Nov 21
    How did you meet your FI/DH: At work. He moved into the group I was in and we worked on an application together.
    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: His unique ability to calm me down, make me happy and understand me without much effort.

    The get-to-know-you questions:

    If money was no object, where would you live: In the US it would be San Diego. Ex-US I think I'd go for Costa Rica. Or London. All completely different. I can't make up my mind.
    Dream vacation spot: Bora Bora
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: No unique talents, but I count my running as a hobby and I am learning to knit.
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that? One part of me says to donate a portion, but really I think I'd want to be greedy and take MH on an awesome vacation.

    Wedding/Anniversary Date: June 18. This is our wedding date but also our "dating" anniversary
    How did you meet your FI/DH:One of the youth directors for Jesus Youth set us up. We emailed and then finally met up. 
    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: His personality. Everyone loves him when they meet him. You can see he's a good person from just a small interaction with him.
    The get-to-know-you questions:

    If money was no object, where would you live: Probably California
    Dream vacation spot: Rome! I would love to the Vatican
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: I try to do a little of everything, but nothing unique.
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that? I would probably pay off some of my debt. I would like to do a ton more, but I need to do that.

    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: He is laid-back cool, calm, collected even when I'm in nutso bride mode.

    If money was no object, where would you live: here! I love Boston! But I'd import some sunshine for October - April. 
    Dream vacation spot: Seychelles
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: I make homemade jam! strawberry, pear, raspberry, blueberry, you name it, i can jam it! 
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that? I would pay off some debt as well... ugh credit cards. but i'd give some to my dad's scholarship fund as well.

    How did you meet your FI/DH: He was the best man in my cousin's wedding.
    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: How loving he is.

    If money was no object, where would you live: On the beach! Or, a little closer to the city than we are in Central London :)
    Dream vacation spot: South Africa or Egypt.
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: I know a lot about food. I consider that a skill.
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that?: Travel. We'd be jet-setting somewhere exciting!

    How did you meet your FI/DH: I interviewed for a job and met his cousin there who set us up!
    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: He's strong and confident but always kind.

    If money was no object, where would you live: A penthouse apartment in Manhattan.
    Dream vacation spot: Santorini
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: Hmmm. More like a party trick, but I always know what time it is even without looking at a clock. It's uncanny.
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that?: Give some to my parents, FI's parents, charity and a down payment on a house (after I buy that Chanel bag).

    Wedding/Anniversary Date: Our dating anniversary is November 2, 2008, but we have no wedding date set. We just now today started talking about planning again after our issues in December. Sometime in the next couple of years, though.

    How did you meet your FI/DH: College class. I asked him to help me set up the school's internet network on my laptop because I didn't know how. We got to talking, and two months later got together.

    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: There are so many "things" that make him up that it's hard to pick just one! But I'll go with his ability to talk me down from my metaphorical tree (even when HE's the one who made me climb it!).

    If money was no object, where would you live: Not this apartment. We'd probably design our own house, but we'd have to agree on where to put it; he wants to move back to NYC and I would rather stay here.

    Dream vacation spot: Mountains. I didn't experience mountains till I was 15 and went to Mexico, and I fell in love. I'd say the beach, but I live in Florida and there is a beach less than a 30-minute drive from my house.

    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: Unique? No.

    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that?: Oh. Oh, this is hard. Practical Sarah says pay off bills, save some and buy necessary items with the rest. But if it was specifically for fun and not to be used for Practical Things, there would be a fair bit of yarn, beads, and shiny things coming into this house!

    How did you meet your FI/DH: We met through mutual friends about 9 years ago.
    Favorite thing about your FI/DH: I love the fact that he's so easy going and loving.

    The get-to-know-you questions:

    If money was no object, where would you live: I would probably live in a couple of different places such as New York, somewhere in California, and somewhere overseas, maybe Dubai?
    Dream vacation spot: Bora Bora (hopefully going there for our honeymoon, fingers crossed!) & the Maldives.
    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies: I'm not very talented at all but I do love reading if that's considered a hobby! Nora Roberts' novels are my guilty pleasures.
    If you were given $5k and had to spend it in a week, how would you go about doing that? I'd probably give it to my parents since they're spending so much money on my wedding.

    Favorite thing about your DH: He knows what makes me tick.  And when to surprise me with a brownie.

    If money was no object, where would you live: I'd divide my time between Paris and the south of France.  In the States?  New York.

    Dream vacation spot: Oh, man.  I can't keep it to just one!  I live near the beach, so sunshine and the ocean aren't such a priority.  I guess my next top destination is probably Japan?

    Do you have any unique talents or hobbies:  I speak a bunch of languages.  French, Spanish, Portuguese and then a little Hindi and Gujarati.

    Less irresponsibly, I would like to jet to Brazil for a week.

    Most responsibly, I would put it towards our future down payment on a house.
