    Gosh, could some of you martyrd wives email my DH with some pointers on getting my dinner ready and my ACU's ready for tomorrow?  That boy has been seriously slacking.

    I can't imagine anyone being so bitter and venemous as the OP in that thread.  She doesn't come across as enjoying her life very much.

    though........sorry, unpop comment coming. I know personally (seee! I have IRL friends!) spouse who "we" a lot. And it bugs me. We are a lot of things but our careers are not shared.

    Yes, though that I don't side eye really because it's become so colloquial for "we're moving." But since you don't have a duty station, you can't change it......

    I don't really care about this so take this with a grain of salt but I don't agree that I shouldn't say I'm pcsing. I feel like when it comes to family then it involves me. I could be clammed for that though.

    Yeah, I don't refer to the whole moving process as a PCS, so I haven't really thought about that one much. I'm more pissy with "us" getting promoted and shiit like that.

    I mean, I have and do say "we" occasionally, but never about his personal accomplishments.  His promotions, assignments, work are all his.  But the part of the military - like moving or finding out his orders - that directly affect me, and that the military will pay for me, I do use "we".  So "we'll find out where we're going for his temporary duty orders in May."  Sure, he'll find out and tell me, and he's going and I'm joining him after we get married, but really... it's semantics.  And it doesn't even remotely mean I don't have an identity!    I've even said "our duty station" because we both are being sent there.  Now that woman would stab me in the heart for that faux pas!

    That woman sounds like she has a service member martyr issue.  Like none of the spouses have a right to ever complain or have an opinion because we aren't the ones in uniform.  When his choices affect me, like where he's stationed, I have a right to ask him to talk to me about it and make a mutual decision.  It's called a marriage of equals, and a partnership.

    Whatevs! "we" are getting promoted next month. Finally. Do people actually say that??? It doesn't make sense to me. Also, I wash his uniforms. Otherwise he'd leave them on the floor. Eff that.
