Checks! ..and need hair & make up advice

After waiting two weeks and standing in multiple lines at my local post office (small Colorado town), my LOVE stamps have arrived.  I got all of my Save the Date's addressed; personally USPS date stamped each one so they wouldn't get ruined by the machine and dropped them in the mail this morning!  Feels great!

My FMIL booked Casbah for our rehearsal dinner this past week.  It's all coming together!

I'm looking for recommendations for hair & make up stylists that will come to your house.  We will be getting ready in Fox Chapel.  I prefer more of a minimalist/natural look.  Kiss and make up was recommended to me, and Julia looks amazing, but it's a very high price point and you have to have 5 bridesmaids to agree ($520 for make up alone).  Hair for bridemaids is a must, make up could be optional, but I would like mine done.

    congrats on the checks! you're ahead of the game, we are only getting our rehearsal set now and im under the 3 month mark!! we are having ours at the porch at schenley.

    i am using kate marshall of airbrushing beauty for makeup. its just me and my MOH getting it done.  ive read good reviews of her on this board and her prices are reasonable.  i will be having a trial in october so i cant personally comment on her yet. for hair we are all having my FI's cousin do it and she lives in rochester, ny so that wont work unfortunately! but brooke rockwell is highly recommended on this board.  she books very far in advance so if you want her id call asap (she was already booked for my date when i called her). you can also try pretty hair salon, i know they travel and they might do makeup as well. they took awhile getting back to me with prices and availability so i ended up already having someone else.

    I used Brooke Rockwell for hair and we all loved her. She works with her sister Harbor and both were awesome. Everyone's hair stayed in and they did me, five BMs, and two flower girls in less than 3 hours. They are stellar. Each girl was $65 and the flower girls were discounted, I think they were $30 each.

    My MUA moved out of the area, but Brooke works with Julia Marckisotto of Pittsburgh Make-Up. She was my back-up.

    If you are open to going to a salon, try Beauty First in Fox Chapel Plaza. We are going there for my wedding on Saturday. I had a great trial and I get my hair cut there all the time. I'm using Clare Lozano for airbrush. She's coming to my house after we are done at the salon.

    I have a friend who is a traveling hairstylist, and I'd be happy to give you her details! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she just did it again for my sister's wedding this past June.

    Her rates are super reasonable, and she'll travel to you. She does a lot of weddings and is super experienced!
