Kappa Phi!

So I pledged a Christian sorority at my university called Kappa Phi tonight! I'm pretty excited!
These girls are soo sweet, the sweetest people I've met here thus far. Because to be honest, I haven't really met that many nice people here. =/
Everyone else here who's seen that I wear an engagement ring is always so judgemental whenever I tell them I'm getting married. & I know a lot of people on here are too. But these girls weren't at all. Or if they were thinking "Wow, you're too young", it didn't show on their faces. So that was refreshing.

I'm really excited about furthering my relationship with God through this sorority. Because I've always had my own personal relationship with God, but I've never really gone to church (since I was about 9 or so, at least) or done Bible study or any of that. It's always just been a personal relationship with God. Not a "formal" one, I guess you could say. But I'm really excited to further my relationship & understanding of Him and put that towards my marriage. Because God is the base of any strong marriage, so I'm really looking forward to building that strong base.

Just thought I'd share my excitement! Any one else ever join a Christian sorority? =]

I was in Kappa Phi! Alpha Omega chapter at Ohio Northern.  There are all denominations and the full range of formal religious activeness.  If you're just starting the pledging you'll be getting married right about in the middle of the pledge period.  At our chapter pledging wasn't really tough, but if you're taking classes, and in the final stages of planning your wedding you may start feeling overwhelmed.  Make sure you talk to your pledge officer if you do.  Congrats on pledging and welcome to Kappa Phi!

My neighbor was part of one at FSU and she met her husband through it because he was part of the Christian fraternity. I don't remember the name off the top of my head. If I had gone to a public university I would have loved to join a Christian sorority. Best of luck :)
