This is probably a stupid question (baking)

I'm hosting an accessories swap and I thought these would be cute to make:

Are these Hershey hug things available all year round? I feel like I've never seen them in the store.

Do you have other cute drink, apps, or dessert ideas?  I'm thinking of making a white sangria with kiwi, raspberries, and limes.

  • I would like some sangria.

And yes, hugs are available year-round.

Since you are hosting you could make some bacon wrapped weenies. They are sooo not on the diet list....just FYI.

One package bacon, cut in three equal pieces
One package cocktial weenies ( I prefer all beef)
One to One and half cups brown sugar
    toothpicks

Roll each weenie in 1/3 slice bacon and secure with toothpick. I usually get 3 rows long-wise on a 13x9 pan.  Sprinkle brown sugar on top of weenies and bake at 425 degrees until the bacon is done.

They are wonderfully addicting and people ask for them time and time again. :)

  • I think I am the only one who doesn't like the bacon/brown sugar mix, but maybe I might try them for other people. They seem easy enough!
  • Ehhh...if you don't like em...don't make them.  Your house smells like them all day because of the bacon.

Your sangria sounds super summery dreamtown!!!

You could go the heathier route and have fruit dip with cut fruit. NO BAKING.

    One small strawberry cream cheese
One small jar of marshmallow fluff

Mix together in bowl and serve with fruit.....since you are going to be cutting fruit anyway for the sangria!

I have seen recipies for fruit salsa with cinnamon/sugar chips...but I don't have it. :(
  • I was thinking of doing fruit for the same reason you mentioned--no bake definitely makes my life super easy.

I think that sangria sounds good, too. I just came across it on Pinterest, but it's a pretty standard sangria mix.

Those cookies are adorable.  PB, chocolate and hot pink, what's not to like?  White sangria sounds delish too.

I found this recipe for fruit salsa with cinnamon chips on Pinterest which seems easy, and yummy.
