We're getting our marriage prep registration mailed in today. I'm an idiot and thought it was an online form and checked last night and it's not so I called themv luckily they have like a dozen spots open. Deadlines tomorrow but they said they'll take us.

FSILs dress and the guest list from FMIL have been the biggest struggle with her. We almost got to the point where I was gonna tell her if we don't get the, by this date they won't be invited per midges advice

I have HATED working with the guest list. My parents will be done with it tonight. We arent giving it back to FILs for a final look.

-Last night I ordered our cake topper (good thing, because she's pretty busy).

-Today I'm trying to order hangers for my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses from Etsy (price has gone up by $1.75 since I last checked

should have ordered them earlier).

-My mom and my bridesmaids' mom have picked a date for my bridal shower (April 21st). FI's just going to check with his mom to see if that day works.

-We need to start thinking about the RD (I know his parents want to help out, I'm trying to think of a way to introduce the topic to them to see if they want to take care of that).

-Friday night I'm going to talk to my mom about a few silk arrangements she's going to make and about the ceremony readings.

We're about to finalize a lot of things:

-Tent rental

-Videographer - we're going with Inkspot Crow (clicky)

-Ceremony musicians

-Invitations

-My MOH just started working on the plans for my bridal shower and bachelorette party - I'm so excited!!
-We're also about to finalize our hotel blocks

-FI is calling to make sure that everything is still good to go with the RD.

-My aunt met with the lady that's helping her make my cake to discuss logistics with her too! So excited!!

-FI's mom got her dress and it looks really nice on her!

I think that's it for now...a lot of "almosts." haha

Since I've just started posting again after a hiatus to move and start my new job, here are the things we've (somehow) managed to get done:
-All major vendors are booked with deposits down (whew!)
-STDs went out last weekend (my cousin text me yesterday to say she got hers-it feels REALLY real now!)
-My mom got her dress, FMIL has been looking at fabric/patterns (she is most likely going to make hers)
-All BMs have ordered their dresses (and 3 of the 5 of them have come in!)
-Rehersal and rehersal dinner timing and location have been determined
-My shower date is set (May 5th, location TBD)
-I ordered my shoes yesterday!!
-I found an invitation style FI and I BOTH like and will most likely order before next week

Today/last night I:

-Finished my card box!
-Decided on what we're doing for reception music.
-Booked time to meet with the venue to finalize times.
-ordered some candy for my candy bar.

I talked with my MOH last night and it looks like my bachelorette will be on May 5th and my shower on June 2nd! So excited!

Today:
-Ordered my hair comb from Etsy
-Ordered the stuffed animals for the little ring bearers to carry (I am against the pillows as I think they are useless, so we wanted to get stuffed animals that looked like our dog for the two youngest ring bearers to carry with rings around a collar, and then they can keep the stuffed animals)
-Made an appointment for my flower girls to get fitted
-Working w/ one of my BM who is making the jewelry on the designs I want

Tomorrow:
-FI and I are going to look at tuxes
-hopefully picking out a limo for the wedding
-working on the dreaded guest list finalization and invitations

I hit that slump after Christmas, then got back into it, then slump, now getting back into it. It's a horrible roller coaster!

-got all the linens & chaircovers, vases, etc. booked and deposit down.

-invitations went out. (I know, I know, I know. Everyone says 3 month mark. Our families more or less send them out as soon as the year of the wedding starts. I don't know why, it's just what happens.)

-started getting RSVP's back. (I squealed and cried when I saw the first one... I think it was an emotional day.)

-ordered FI's wedding band. (This really made it feel real..)

-talked to MOH, picked my bachlorette date... We decided May 12th, because all of the close girlfriend that would be invited would be coming over for my birthday anyways that weekend. Bday's the 13th.

-got everything for the centerpieces, the lights & water beads

-picked up my dress, have it stored in our spare bedroom.( that's been an adventure an a half..... 3 days after I picked it up, our nephew came over for the night.... FSIL repeated: "Josh, don't touch the pink bag, it's important to Aunty, and she won't feed you if you touch it.) )

Next up:

-guys are going suit shopping on the 27th.

-get my under the dress things.

-get the girls shoes and accesories

-guest book

-favors

-card box

-cake topper.

I think I've finally got the hotel blocks squared away. This is a good thing, because FI's parents want to reserve ALL THE ROOMS, RIGHT NOW.

And we've at least started talking about tuxes...

Uncheck my unity candle

It arrived and looks horrible and cheap! The company said "engraved" in the description but its just a window cling stuck on the candle and is already peeling off. You can only imagine my phone call to them...

Tonight I mailed in our check and registration for our God's plan for a joyfilled marriage class (pre-cana), which we are doing on Saturday, March 3. Our diocese offers two choice: working with a mentor couple and doing the god's plan for a joy-filled marriage class, or doing a weekend retreat. We opted for choice #1.

Compiled a song list for the DJ just now. It feels weird, all of the major stuff is done and deposits are paid. We just have to fine tune everything. Saturday we go to taste wedding cake and decide on a design. I saw one that I really liked with a few minor changes. I want white whip cream frosting and black pipping (the one shown below is off white with brown pipping), and we will have lanvendar & purple flowers all over with the LOVE cake topper.
