shoes for ceremonies in the sand?

ladies, while its sometimes common for grooms and groomsmen to walk barefoot and go with that beachy vibe, i am not comfortable walking barefoot in my dress. with that being said, i don't know if flats, narrow heels or wide heels are best for beach ceremonies. any past knotties have any insight for this? thanks!

I and a few other girls plan on wearing wedges since they shouldn't sink into the sand as much as heels would. My colors are blue and green so I chose blue wedges to be that fun "pop of color".

I would love to just go barefoot, but my FI is over a foot taller than I am, so I figure these shoes would be the best way to give me some extra height.

I am going barefoot but like others said, wedges or even slides or flip flops!

I'm going to wear wedges because I'm petite... but probably flip flops for my bridesmaids... Still trying to find ones I like though

Yup, I hear wedges are good for the beach. I can't say first hand since we're doing our wedding in a garden gazebo so I can wear heels, which is great since my finace is 6'2" and i'm 5'2"!
