I burned my hair.

I bought a little adapter, and I forgot about the whole conversion thing. Yep.

I tried to curl my hair, and burnt off a nice piece in the back. Like, sizzle, sizzle, pop, pop. Hair wrapped around the curling iron, burnt.

BURNT MY HAIR!!!!

Yes, the growing out process should be fun.

Oh no! That's awful. Are you able to mask/hide the damage?

I live in fear of burning my hair with a curling iron or flat iron.

You can tell. Thankfully, it is in the back and not in the front, so I don't have to see it. I can feel it, though.

I laugh about it now, but was all kinds of butthurt about it when it happened.

Yikes! Better your hair than your head.

Niece fried a $200 flatiron that way - just went over there and had twice the usual voltage surging through it. So hey, I'd say at least you still have your curling iron, right?

I burned up my flat iron in Australia. We found a Target and bought a new one and I'm still using it today, universal converter and all.

i did that once. it was a HUGE chunk on the top of my head, more towards the side. i was 16, and had heavily processed hair. it was permed and colored. it was gross. i had to wear a bun while it grew out.

i wasn't even using a curling iron or anything. it happened while i was blowing my hair straight. i know.
