Honoring our military families

My fiance has been a fireman since he was a teenager and served in the Air Force as a firefighter as well. We both have numerous family members who are veterans as well. I'd like any ideas you may have on some form of a display or something honoring how important and valued their service has been. It's a big part of our lives and patriotism is something very important to both of us. Even something to incorporate into the ceremony itself would be awesome. We're both very patriotic and with him being a veteran and currently a fire chief I'd like to honor that somehow. I know it would be special to both of our families.

  • Wait, did you edit out all the info about him have 4 Purple Hearts?  I thought long and hard about how to come back and respond to you original question before you edited to say what it is now.  To be frank, I hope you realized how odd that would be to include in your wedding.

  • I seriously can't stand this site lately with all the post eating.  I've ben sticking to the proboards as much as possible.
OP, I think the best way to honor those who served is by putting something in the program or having a moment somewhere during the reception where you ask every one for a moment of silence for those public and military servants who risk their lives for us every day.
