CD favors

Has anyone ever done/heard anything about a CD favor? Any advice or thoughts?

Thanks beforehand!

my sister once got a CD favor of all the main songs from the wedding - she really liked it b/c she really liked the music they picked. I don't know much more than that, though.

I went to a wedding where they gave out a CD of about ten songs or so.  I thought it was a cute idea.  But I guess it would depend on what the age of your guests are.  Older people might not have the same taste.

I think it's a fun idea, but ia lot of work.  You'll need a LOT of time to burn all those CD's!  I knew a bride who do it, but she had a friend who worked in the music industry who had high-end equipment to do it quickly.  You really can't hire someone to do it for you as burning and distributing music is technically illegal (unless you own the rights to the songs).

My sister got a CD with the couple favorite songs as a favor once. It was cute (although I liked the music more than she did). It's a nice idea, but now that everyone has MP3 players/Ipods, I wonder how often people would actually use it? Also, I believe it took her friend forever to burn them all too.

BUT, if say, you and the groom are big music buffs and everyone knows that, I think it is a great idea.
