hair/makeup trial locations

If you're having your hair & makeup done on site, and the stylists don't have a studio, where are you doing your trials?  It seems weird to do it at my house, but I'm not sure where else to go.  I just don't have much space at home, and I have a dog that would get in the way, I'm sure...Any suggestions?

    We did my hair trials at my stylist's house, but that's also where her "salon" is.  For my makeup trials, the MUA came to my house.

    Have you asked your stylist about this?  Maybe they have something in mind or somewhere that they typically do that.
