Hello!!  I'm 32 and my FI is 31 soon to be 32.  We have been together for 9 yrs.  We did everything backwards.  Moved in, been engaged for 7 yrs and have 3 boys age 11, 7 & 6.  I'm a SAHM and babysit and FI is a manager for a sub contracter for Time Warner.  Prior to staying home I worked at a doctors office.  Our wedding will be small with family & a few close friends.  I never dreamed of my wedding day like some do.  We will be havng our cermony/reception which is more of a dinner with some eliments of a reception at the same venue.  Guest list is 50-60 and I'm a budget bride.  We both love the fall and I love fall colors but have not decided 100% if I want to use fall colors.  Feel free to ask any questions, give idea, advice, etc........I'm a little lost with the whole wedding planning.  My mom lives in Las Vegas and I'm very busy with my children.  Look forward to chating with other brides.

    I will post all my basics on the Getting to know you board.  It's been a long 7 years.  We have been through a lot as a couple and have managed to pull through it all.  Thanks!!

    Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: Yes my FI and I have been engaged for 7 yrs.  Why so long?  Shortly after getting engaged my mom was DX with Stage 3 Breast Cancer and the next 1-2 yrs were tough for the family.  I had some medical issues after having my last son and ended up having 8 major pelvic surgeries in a matter of 2-3 yrs.  My last surgery was Jan. 2012.  I lost my sister to suicide 6 months ago, both of our parents went through a divorce at the beginning of our relationship and my FI lost his Uncle to suicide when I was 6 mths pregnant with our first son.  Dealing with all these ups and downs caused us to put the wedding planning on hold in till we felt the time was right.  Shortly after my sister passed we decided it was time to take the next step in our relationship.

    We have booked are venue and officiant..  Working on setting up appts for cake, flowers, dj and photos.  Thankfully I know a few people that have thier own business. 1 who makes awesome wedding cakes, 2 who are photogaphers and 3 people that DJ.  I have already spoke to them but have not decided if I will use them or not.  I do not want a lot of flowers. 
    No significance to our date.  We knew we wanted Oct. because we both love the fall.  We thought the date 10.11.13 was neat and also easy to remember, lols......You seem to have a lot done.  I started getting stress after reading  the different post from other brides because you all have a lot done.  I have started picking up some DIY for decor.

    Don't get stressed! You have a good portion of time yet. I also have a long engagement. Not quite as long as yours, but 26 months. I don't have any kids either so that helps get things done.

    I keep telling myself to calm down, it will all work out.  It tends to help.  Having kids takes up mostt of your time.  Between school, homework, sports and running my oldest to different Fuse groups he is in I feel like 24 hours is not enough for one day:)  Looking forward to getting to you all of you too.
