Afternoon Thread

So last night, I was cooking dinner, and H was sitting at the table clipping coupons(he loves it for some odd reason!) and all of a sudden I turn around and my lovely pup is on the coffee table standing on it with all fours, holding the new bone he got, so the jack russell couldn't get to him, it was so hard to scold him and not laugh!

anywho, how's everyone?

Re: Afternoon Thread

  • haha that's so funny!

it was cute, however he knows better than to jump on the coffee table, when he was little he used to fit in between the coffee table(its two tier, see below) so we've been through this a few times.

    only two more hours :)

  • Aw how cute!

I was busy this morning at work and missed the morning thread. I hope everyone is having a good day! Today I'm trying to finish up the last bit of my holiday shopping online since we're getting down to wire. 13 more days!

  • Finish the last paper I have to write before graduating Sunday!

Ok, well procrastinating on here instead of finishing the last paper I have to write before graduating on Sunday!
  • So cute!!! I never get sick of doggie pictures. If someone hacked into my phone looking for something juicy and salacious, they would be very disappointed by all of the dog pictures.

[QUOTE]Brit, that's too cute.   Just a couple of more hours of work and then I'm headed home to hopefully finish decorating our tree.  It has lights and a tree topper right now.

  • Aw, JCB my T&P are with you!

on a lighter note, i'm looking forward to my leftovers tonight!

  • Alright, just finished reading the morning thread.

Hi Edie! Did you get approved for your vacation time?

Brittany, I love the holiday boxer tradition. I feel like I should steal that idea.

Today is dragging. It's my "press day" today, when all our newspapers get sent to our printer, meaning I could be at work today for 12 hours. But I'm hoping maybe I'll be out by 7. Fingers crossed. Fortunately I have good leftovers to look forward to for dinner.

    300th post! I like milestones :)

I won't eat till I get home from work, but this is what I made last night:

It came out pretty decent. Nothing exciting, but good. I jazzed it up with a diced onion, plus more seasoning and I also added spinach to up the healthy factor. I used frozen cauliflower and defrosted it in the microwave. It would have been better if I chopped it up smaller to bite size pieces but I was feeling lazy.

That looks yummy Buzz! I can see how it needed your additions though.

Have you ever tried cauliflower bread sticks?
It won't let me post the link? Hmmm...

  • H and I are doing a fun run tonight with my mom through a nice neighborhood to see Christmas lights! Then she's bringing over some chicken spagetti for us to eat together.

Brittany, I saw that on the morning thread and forgot to reply about that. Making them BBQ with some liquid smoke sounded delicious!

Angel, no I haven't tried cauliflower bread sticks. I've seen some Pinterest posts about cauliflower pizza dough. I assume it's similar that? I'm interested in giving something like that a try. After New Years I have to get back into the lower carb diet. I just feel so much better eating that way. I suspect I have a wheat sensitivity even though I've been tested and do not have celiac.

    These two look tasty:

It's very similar, just without the toppings and I cut it into strips, so it's like cheesy bread. I'll post my recipe later.

  • I am jealous of all you that get to post at work.
But I also feel like I'm winning at life because I got home and discovered the baby at work had put two cookies in my purse at some point during the day.  She only got three, so her giving me two was very generous.

Tonight I am going to go shopping for more sweaters for my dog.
