Reccomend your DJ or Band

My brother and fiance just started to think about the entertainment part and I am asking for your reccomendations.  They are really interested in a band but don't want to hire blindly but a DJ isn't out either.  who are you using?? who do you like? who wasn't great?? The reception will most likely be at the Key Bridge if that helps at all with location. TIA!!

we haven't officially hired him yet, but we may go with Mark Yuen, who is a popular wedding and club DJ in the DMV area. he's a friend of ours and i adore his wife (who actually just started her own wedding planning business - www.galagirlsllc.com). we don't really like mixing business with friends, which is why we're hesitating, but Mark is SO good that we may just go for it.

he currently spins at Breeze at the Rooftop at the Rockville Town Center Rooftop on Friday nights.

email him at markyuen at hotmail dot com. you can also see his nearly perfect reviews at wedding wire. search for K2 Productions in the DC area.

sorry for the shameless plug, but he's really good! good luck!

If you want a great DJ, you MUST go with Bialek's Music. My now husband and I were married last month and Brennan Sullivan of Bialek's was FANTASTIC. We had so many guests come up to us (and him) and tell us that the music was the best they had ever heard at a wedding. Our dance floor was full the whole night. As for Bialek's, I've also heard great things about Dan Goldman. Seriously, though, it is THE best company for booking a DJ or band. The good DJs like Brennan and Dan are a little more expensive than we had expected, but it was worth every penny.
