Videographer?

Hello ladies, So I have all of my vendors booked or at least narrowed down except for a videographer. This is the one thing my FH doesn't think we need so I'm looking for one under $1000. Any suggestions?

    We are going through our Photographer KWU here is the packages she sent me awhile ago!
     
    We have two packages: A 5 minute highlight video and a 10 minute highlight video. 

    - 1 cinematographer 
    - the finished highlight video in HD (5 minutes)
    - a custom designed case and dvd (2 copies) 
    - a format for ipod, facebook, and ipad 
    - stays the entire time from beginning to end

    $995 + sales tax

    I also did not want to spend a lot on videography so I am using Total Cinema. He is "newer" to the business but does good work.

    We are using Fuel Productions http://www.fuelvideoproductions.com& Mike & Mike (father son team) have been AMAZING! When I contacted them I told them I had been referred by a fellow knottie who recieved a special price when they were running a sale of $750 (which included EVERYTHING & MORE! Oh man, we are getting way more then we're paying for) including TWO vidographers, photo montage, 4 DVD copies, full length video, highlights reel, etc. etc. etc. I honestly have no clue, in fact I kind of doubt, they will still honor that price (it was a promotion like 2 years ago) but who knows! :) Can't hurt to ask.     we've booked apex media weddings. george has been nice and really worked with us to create a package that's within our budget.

    Fuel Productions was the only ones I've contacted so far and their booked on my date :-(. I looked into a few packages for photography and video but decided to go with an independent photographer a couple of months ago. It seems like most of the big companies are atleast $1500 or more. Thanks for the suggestions!

     liz1379 - Any possible what way that I could get your information on the independent videographer that you are going with?  We are looking too and hoping that we can fit it in our budget but just not sure. Thanks for your help!
