band costs/suggestions - bluegrass/folk/fun/quirky

I'm having a barn themed rustic wedding and want to try to stick true to the theme by having a band. Love to have a band that's a little folksy, bluegrass/country but still quirky, upbeat and fun. ANY ideas? I'm thinking I may need to start going to Northside and Southgate house to find someone.

Also any ideas on cost? I don't even know what we would budget for this...and we are def on a budget:-)

We would only need them for the after dinner. plan on playing a ipod for dinner music.

thanks!

Stacey

A former coworker is looking into the Rumpke Mountain Boys. No clue on cost though.

My 3rd cousin plays in a bluegrass band called Appalaichan Highway - I've seen them several times and they are always amazing. I'm at work so I can't look for their website, but I'm sure if you googled Appalaichan Highway Cincinnati you'd find some info. Happy hunting!

Hey idk if you're still looking or if you were able to get ahold of Appalaichan Highway, but they perform at Shaw Farm in the barn during their fall festival. So if you haven't gotten ahold of them, or would like to see them perform, check it out :)

I am still looking and wasn't able to get a hold of Appalachian HWY. Do you know if there is an email or web site for them?
