So, many of you remember my story about JP's cousin, B. Well, things aren't looking very good. He's still at home, not working, and his heart is functioning. It's still at a very low level, but not to the point that it needs to be monitored 24 hours a day. He still can't work, has an extremely limited diet, cannot take any meds, and of course cannot drink or smoke.
I don't want to get into too many details this time, but he's not doing well. He is harming his body with those substances. His family did a full on intervention (like on the show) and he checked himself out of the rehab within 12 hours of being there. He continued to make poor choices. He tried drinking at our house yesterday, JP wouldn't let him, so he ended up leaving. It's just not going well.
His parents found a new rehab facility in a super nice modern mansion type home (similar to Celebrity Rehab) here in town, as opposed to the other ranch 2 hours south of us. He has agreed to go. It's a very different setting and he's allowed to leave during the day. He's still monitored, has daily counseling/doctor visits, has to go through detox, and takes daily substance abuse tests.
Anyway, he could really use your thoughts and prayers, as can his family because it's obviously very hard on them as well. So, please be thinking of him and send your powerful Knottie vibes his way. Thanks!
