  I'm sorry to hear that. I was just promoted to another position within the company, and I'm a little sad it was before my wedding. Usually the team would throw a shower or give a money tree. I was excited for that. But maybe my new co-workers will do something for me. If not than that's okay too. I guess we just look forward to stuff like that. I didn't have a shower or bachelorette party.... So that was something I was looking forward to.

  I'm glad you are hving your dream wedding! Maybe your shower will be a surprise!  That's how they happen at my office...an e-mail gets circulated to everyone except the Bride so it will be a surprise for her.  Throughtout the day of the shower everyone sneaks in gifts and food, then in the afternoon we tell the Bride she needs to go to the board room for a meeting and SURPRISE.
  
  I'd be a little sad if my wedding wasn't at least recognized (i'm stil sort of new here so I prob shouldn't expect a shower), but I'm sure nobody has forgotten about you. 
  I'm putting my money ona  surprise shower for you:)

  I'm sorry since that is kind of a slight against you if they are throwing another person one.  I know for a fact there will be no shower at my work....but then again I work with a bunch of men that probably don't even realize that is why I will be gone for several weeks!  haha

  Thanks....Maybe there will be a surprise shower like christinavy  said.  We have done those in the past for people.

  lwoehlk you are probably right...they guys wont notice you are gone....or thats the way it is around here with the guys.
  
  And its not so much the shower....is that it isnt being recognized.  I guess that is what hurts most.

  That makes a lot of sense, to feel hurt for not being recognized. My team is hugely involved in my life (I joke they are my 'kids' although a couple are older than I!). They really amazed me with the excitement and recognition they have shared. This is a BIG step in your life! Not to have another part of your life that you have so much time invested in is difficult. I'm sorry. I hope they surprise you! If not, I hope it is soon forgotten and you can just enjoy the better parts of this journey
