  Well, I'm not sure how the hosts of your engagement party would know what your wedding colors are unless you told them, so if you're worried about spoiling the surprise, just don't tell them until after the party and let them decorate however they want.
  
  Typically, there would no "element of surprise" with your colors anyway, though, as invitations and sometimes even save-the-dates are generally in your wedding colors and the guests obviously see those far in advance.  Also it's one of those questions that people ask a lot to make conversation when they hear you're planning a wedding (it comes in close behind "Have you picked out a dress yet" and "Where is it going to be?"), and I really don't think it's the sort of thing that's a big enough deal to keep a "surprise" when people start asking.

  It's considered rude to host your own engagement party so I hope you're not doing that.
  
  The hosts usually also decide the decor colours, and no they don't have to match your wedding colours.
