Is anyone having their reception there.  I saw this today

Your Perfect Day wants to warn all our present & future brides that The Navy Bistro is cancelling all 2011 weddings!

I'm so sad to hear this if so.  I had wanted to do our's there but my planner had warned me she thought this could happen.  We love the place.

    Im just curious..Do you have any idea why the are cancelling? I know the cousinos had some issues with not paying taxes. However I thought that was resolved?

    OOOOH, if you watch, please post why!  I'll still be at the gym, in cycle class, which in my eyes is the worst work out class ever.

    I am (was) having my reception and ceremony at Navy Bistro on may28th... i called monday to set up my food tasting and was told they were cancelling my wedding and ceremony and i would get a letter in the mail. my friend contacted channel 11 and they set up an interview with me and my friend whos wedding is in August at the Bistro. we were both super nervous during the interview so please dont judge!!  but back on track... i have an entire wedding to replan by may 28th. ironically i sent out my save the dates 3 hours before i found out they cancelled our wedding. im completely lost for words about the whole situation. it was a beautiful venue and we were very excited about our wedding there. so back to square one....... i am looking for a ceremony location out doors with an indoor option if it rains if anyone knows of any locations. many places are booked so im very limited

    My wedding and reception are cancelled also!  I don't know what to do.  The wedding is August 20 this year.  How are we supposed to find a place in 7 months?  I'm heartbroken and angry that the news broke this to us before Cousino's did.  What are we supposed to do?

    My heart goes out to you ladies who were cancelled on!  I know I freaked out when the wedding coordinator at my venue left her job 1 week before my wedding (lots of tears!)  I can't even IMAGINE what you all are going through.

    I wish you nothing but luck in finding new venues.....you know that all of us will be more than happy to suggest places if you give us your number of guests.

    sorry that you didnt hear before the news.... i may have been one of the few people they contacted because of my wedding in 4months. my friend erin who was also on the news with me didnt hear about it until i called her when i found out and her wedding is Aug 6th. when she called there they just said "no comment" and i guess were really rude. best of luck finding a venue! we are struggeling........

    This is horrible. I feel horrible for all of you ladies out there who are affected by this.

    We had our rehearsal dinner scheduled there for Aug 5 and they just called my fiance to cancel it. That is nothing compared to those couples who are going to basically have to re-plan their entire wedding so I'm not even going to complain. 
    It actually sounds like the whole place might be closing.

    A friend of mine is one of those poor brides that got hit with this awful news.  She is using April at Your Perfect Day to help her find a new venue.  April was the one that was on Fox 36 news and in the Toledo Blade discussing this situation and what she can do to help all the brides that are affected by it.  April provided my friend with a FREE list of 40 venues in Toledo that have good reputations and are similar to the Navy Bistro.  April is was our wedding planner and was great to work with.  You can contact her at yourperfectdayllc@gmail.com
