coastal gourmet

We are using coastal gourmet, we went for our tasting, we had to change some options. The problem is we live out of state, and won't be back til aug and the menu has to be secure 4 months prior. so we cant taste the new options. I just want to ask, if you are using them tell me your whole menu and give me raves about each item.

  • I'm using them and this is our menu! Everything was delciious, we didn't change a thing.

    Apps:
    Mini Crab Cakes with Chipotle Aioli
    Mini Clam Fritters with Lemon Caper Sauce, served in paper cones
    Spicy Chicken Quesdilla with Avocado Cream
    Sun dreied tomatoe and fresh mozz burschetta
    Cajun Beef Skewers with gorgonzola dipping sauce

    We're doing stations and these are our stations:
    Seafood Bar (didn't try)
    Penne Pasta with Plum Tomato and Sweet Basil Sauce (best I have ever had cannot wait to have this again)
    Cheese tortellini with grilled chicken, roasted peppers, spinach and a pink vodka alfredo sauce (SO good!)
    Self serve salad station - we tried the mixed field greens with a balsamic vineagerette and ceasar and both were dleicious (liked the ceasar better)
    Carving stations: Prime rib (didnt get to try) and harissa & honey glazed loin pork (unreal how good this was)

    Everything was exceptional. I have told our geusts to come hungry!

    Fish: Stonington Sole Fillets Stuffed with a Crabmeat and Leek Stuffing, Lobster Beurre Blanc
    Beef: Grilled Bistro Filet with Roasted Garlic Merlot Glace
    Chicken:Sauteed Boneless breast of chicken
    Vegetarian: Grilled Eggplant and Roasted Garlic Terrine with Zucchini and White Beans, Sage and Butter Sauce

    Hors d'Oeuvres:
    Honey mustard scallops wrapped in bacon
    Vegetable Spring Rolls with Plum Dipping Sauce
    Bon Fire Chicken Skewers with Great Hill Bleu Cheese Sauce
    Sun Dried Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella Bruschetta
    Colossal Shrimp Cocktail with Spicy Cocktail Sauce or Lemon Caper Aioli

    Salad:
    Field Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Pear Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Carrots

    Accompaniments:
    Green Beans with Toasted Almonds and Amaretto Butter
    Garlic Mashed Potatoes


    Everything was delicious.  I ordered the sole and it was amazing (and definitely a good sized portion). DH loved the steak.  It's also available as an appetizer.  We tried the appetizer at the tasting and that's why we decided to go with it as a main course.

    ETA: We also added the mini pastries that we sampled at the tasting and they were gone the second they were put down
