Indoor Reception Venues on the Cheap!

Hi Knotties!
I have been married for a little under a year, but am planning for my sister's wedding next Fall!
Can you ladies recommend some nice indoor venues in San Diego that aren't too expensive?  Her budget is about $20K for 150 people.  Yes, we know she'll likely go over.

Thanks!

I think you guys should be able to stick within that budget.  My budget is the same with the same amount of people and we have done great thus far, our wedding is in 3 months.  I don't know if you are able to get married on any of the navy/army bases here in San Diego, but if you have someone that can sponsor your sis she should check them out.  A few of them are really pretty, reasonably priced, and the food is good.  There is the Admiral Kidd Club which is quite popular and the Oceanview Room at Point Loma Sub Base.

The Ocean House in Carlsbad is where I am having my reception. It's a great price and I am having 100 people for less than 10k there. The food is great and floral center pieces and the cake are included.

Oceanview room and Admiral Kidd are great venues too, but they book super quickly.

I'm getting married at Pala Resort & Casino in North San Diego County.  It's really affordable and very nice.  We're planning for about 100 people and we're estimating the final cost of the ceremony & reception there to be just under $7K (includes food, open bar & cake) and there isn't any sales tax since it's on an indian reservation! :)
    Good luck!!

check out wedgewood wedding and banquet center in fallbrook.  Its a beautiful location on a golf course with a great room for the reception.  They have several different packages to choose from and they include practically everything.  I'm AMAZED at how affordable the place is

You might also check out Marina Village. There are beautiful rooms there and in almost all of them you get to bring in your own caterer.
