HELP...Planning in progress

WOW is the best way to describe this!  I was proposed to on 11-21-09.  We are wanting to go to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Can ANYONE give me any info on planning a destination wedding?  My sister had a destination wedding about 5yrs ago, so she's going to be a huge help but trying to figure out best deals to get guests to come as well as when we should do it. 
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Ok so I am no help with the USVI... actually we have a knottie on here Dew that lives in St. Thomas.

    If you don't get a lot of response, we are in the transition phase of this board you might want to go to the other board and post again

    Hello, I am just starting my planning process but I am doing mine in St. Thomas also.  If you go to destinationweddings.com they have a lot of info on it and you can get a wonderful travel planner!

    Meghan! Good to see you got your Siggy to appear over here! I can't get to your planning bio though!! :( I was having the same problems but Misty was such a huge help!  If you got to my don't pay attention to this post and at the bottom misty put it in for me, im sure you can just put ur info in it!

    Yea, I copied and pasted hers and just put in my info, I have no idea what is happening with the bio :(...It's so frustrating me.

    Also no help with USVI - but welcome!!!  You'll find a lot of great wedding ideas here so good luck with planning!

    I got engaged in June and decided in August to get married in St. Thomas.  Our date is January 11, 2010.
    The wedding planner I am using is Janelle Scott of Island Bliss Weddings, she has been awesome.
    I am actually get married while docked for a cruise, though, so I am not much help as far as locations or vendors in the area.  I just found a cruise, found Janelle and picked a beach!!
