Wedding Day Timeline

This is something I have needed to work on forever and I have been avoiding it. We are having a evening ceremony and reception so I was hoping for those that have the same wouldn't mind sharing their time line with me. Thanks Ladies!

I googled "Wedding Day Timeline" and found a few that I combined together and tweaked to make work for me.

Stephiehall - your timeline looks about how I want my night to go.

DId you get married on a Friday or a Saturday night?  And how close to the schedule did everything run?

Im not expecting eveything to to be right on the dot, but was there a huge delay in when the ceremony actually started and did that off set everything else, or was it all pretty much within 5-10 minutes of when scheduled?

Anne, we pretty much stayed on schedule.  My photographer padded her time quite a bit so even though we were about 15 minutes off to start, we easily made it up and ended up meeting our DJ right at 8:15 when we were supposed to.  He kept us on track from there and it was perfect.

If I had it to do over, I would have had my MUA get there at noon.  We were pretty much hanging around relaxing with nothing to do and I would have loved to have that extra hour for us to get ready towards the end of things.

So I'm not sure if it's really important- BUT if you were having seperate people do hair & make-up which would you do 1st? Does it really matter?

    Tiff,

Not a professional answer or anything, but when I've been in a wedding (or for like prom) I always put primer, foundation and powder on in the morning right after I've washed my face. I feel like it "sticks" better when my face is clean. Then I do hair, or whatever, and finish with the color (blush, eye shawdow, etc...).

Kristin started my hair, then did makeup, then finished my hair and put my veil in.  Hair takes the longest.  I would do hair first.
