Dance with FI dad?

My dad won't be able  to make it to my wedding. Not close to any family, so I don't have anyone to dance with. My FFIL and I are pretty close so I asked him to walk me. He was so honored that I'm not an actual daughter asking him to do so. Now, I have no idea what song to dance to. I was thinking "Cowgirl Don't Cry" by Brooks and Dunn ft. Reba. I love it and it doesn't seem a bad choice. Any thoughts or ideas?

I think it's a lovely idea to dance with your FFIL, however, I'm not a fan of your song choice.  An entire verse addresses the father's death, which doesn't seem appropriate to me, no matter what your relationship with your father.  Instead of a song addressing a father-daughter relationship, perhaps a song with a "welcome to the family" theme would be better?  I'll be brainstorming for you.  Or, it might be better to have a general parent-child dance so that you dance with your FFIL while FI dances with his mom.  Best wishes!

If you want to dance with him go for it!  What a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong is a popular choice and can be appropriate for all kinds of relationships.  I kind of wonder about the verse regarding the Dad's death in your original suggestion.  I'm very happy that you have someone to fill the role of the FOB - he seems to be very special to you!
